Celebrating Success
As you now know, pregnancy creates a cocktail of emotions, of which can feel like we are being hit by a truck! The 6 Bodies Method is aa great way to keep mama-to-be grounded, accountable, responsible, non-reactive, and to help see the bigger picture of life.
The 6 Bodies is an effective Personal Development Tool. Personal Development is a life long process of personal discovery. It is a way for people to assess their unique individual skills and strengths, consider their aims in life and set goals in order to realize and maximize their potential. It involves getting clear on any blocks and limiting patterns. Once we discover the blocks and limits, we move into any required healing by using the appropriate personal development healing tools. Once healing has commenced, we step into the powerful space of creation, where we discover your individual gifts, and strengths, and further develop them in order to create a life you love to live. Hali Love's Personal Development Method works with The 6 Bodies Method, which she created as a means to access a macro vision of human existence and to support sustainable change and healing.
The 6 Bodies
1) Physical - our physical body,
2) Mental - our thinking mind,
3) Emotional - all of the 6 human emotions, which are fear, anger, joy, contentment, discontentment, and sadness,
4) Energetic - our vibe,
5) Intellectual - our new knowledge, learning's and insights; and
6) Spiritual - this is self defined.
The method to use the 6 Bodies is simple: A 6 Bodies check in. We prefer the pen to paper method, where you simply list each of the 6 bodies and ask mom to use one-two words to describe how they are feeling in each body.

MUDRAS
Hasta mudras (hand seals) are yet another effective tool to fight symptoms of postpartum depression. They heal the body by increasing the energy of flow, or prana, in the body through specific yogic gestures, or mudras. Each yoga mudra has unique benefits for different organs and tissues. Yoga mudras help balance the five great elements that Ayurveda believes we are made of—air, ether, earth, fire, and water. Each element is known to serve a specific function in the body like controlling movement, metabolism, nourishment, assimilation, egestion among others. The fingers in these yoga mudras help adjust the flow of prana affecting the balance of these five elements. The result is, one feels instantly energized, calm, relaxed, and pain is reduced. Some of the mudras that can be practiced by postpartum women include
Chin Mudra / Jnana Mudra / Gyan Mudra
-
The index finger and thumb touch each other lightly.

The other three fingers are extended straight.
-
Place the hands on the thighs facing the ceiling.

-
Observe the flow of breath.

When comes to physical healing, it does not matter whether Jnana or chin chin mudra is practiced. Both have the similar effect on the physical and mental ailments. This mudra is an ultimate remedy for improving states of mental tension and disorder, as well as for promoting memory and concentration. Palm up = Jnana / Gyan Mudra, Palm down = Chin Mudra

Helps to calm the mind.

Helps withdrawal of the senses that allows.

-
Helps to reach higher levels of consciousness.
Steps of Yoni Mudra:
The Yoni Mudra needs to be performed when you sit in a cross-legged posture of Padmasana on the floor or on a firm chair. Hold your body straight and erect, and close your eyes. Bring the palms of your hands together in the Namaste posture, and point the thumbs up. Now, open your palms apart, while the tips of the fingers of the two hands are still together.
Next, while the tips of the index fingers and the thumbs are still joined, just fold the little fingers, ring fingers, and middle fingers inwards, so that the backs of the fingers from one hand touch those of the other hand. Meanwhile, the two index fingers and the two thumbs form a closed ring. Now, press the pointed thumbs on your navel. While you hold this position, breathe slowly and deeply. There are variations of this mudra, as well, like the Sarva Yoni Mudra, Shanmukhi Mudra.
You need to practice this for 20-30 minutes every morning. A word of caution though – if you are suffering from a psychological disorder, like depression – you should avoid practising this. If not, and if you’re looking for a way to calm your mind, then find yourself a quiet place in the house to practice this and enjoy some self-reflection. It can prove to be a great method for attaining some much-needed self-love.
